ABOUT

The Linn County Gaming Association (LCGA) is the nonprofit organization that jointly applied for Cedar Crossing’s gaming license alongside casino operator Peninsula Pacific Entertainment (P2E). The LCGA comprises a group of community invested Linn County residents who are committed to making Cedar Crossing a reality and providing much-needed financial support for area nonprofits.

LCGA, P2E and the Cedar Rapids Development Group (CRDG) have long held a single vision to bring the best gaming and entertainment venue to Cedar Rapids, the Corridor and the state of Iowa.

Cedar Crossing will be a 160,000-square-foot entertainment and cultural arts complex featuring destination restaurants, headline performers and unrivaled nightlife. It will be an economic anchor and catalyst for growth in the Corridor by providing 8% of net adjusted gross revenue (AGR) – $6.3 million in much-needed annual support – to area nonprofit organizations.

This commitment to providing funding to area nonprofits is unprecedented in Iowa: Cedar Crossing will provide more than twice the amount of net AGR required by state law. Grants will be approved by the LCGA, which is Cedar Crossing’s qualified sponsoring organization (QSO).

Local unions, businesses and nonprofits, as well as the Cedar Rapids City Council and Linn County officials, have all enthusiastically voiced their support for a gaming facility in Linn County.
