Heather Armstrong

Heather Armstrong is the proud owner-operator of Lucky’s on 16th, a beloved family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of the historic Czech Village in Cedar Rapids.

Known for its welcoming atmosphere and classic American fare, Lucky’s has become a local favorite, serving as both a gathering spot for the community and a destination for visitors exploring the vibrant cultural district.

Before pursuing her career as a restaurateur, Heather spent several years working with a nonprofit organization dedicated to a nationwide wellness initiative, where she helped promote healthier lifestyle choices through innovative programs and community outreach.

Prior to her work in the nonprofit sector, Heather enjoyed a successful career as a real estate agent and broker for nearly two decades. During this time, she honed her business acumen, built strong relationships and developed a deep understanding of customer service – all skills she now relies upon as a restaurant owner.

Heather has been deeply involved in the Cedar Rapids community for decades, championing local growth and economic development. Her passion for revitalization efforts led her to serve on various initiatives, including a role on the Iowa Finance Authority for nearly a decade.

Today, Heather spends most of her time at Lucky’s, where family, friends and visitors can come together to enjoy great food and celebrate the unique character of the area. In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her three adult children located in Cedar Rapids, Ames and Charlotte, N.C.
